July 2021: Meaghan Perdue successfully defends dissertation
Congratulations to Meaghan Perdue on her successful dissertation defense!
Her thesis was titled “Neurobiological mechanisms of reading: Relationships among brain function, anatomy and chemistry” (Advisor: Nicole Landi).
Meaghan is now a postdoctoral researcher at University of Calgary.
July 2021: DEV grad student Cynthia Boo defends her Master’s Thesis & publishes findings!
Congratulations to Cynthia Boo, M.A., M.S., on her successful MS Thesis defense on July 29, 2021!
Her thesis was titled, “Structural and Pragmatic Language Abilities of Children with ASD, ADHD, and Comorbid Symptoms of Both during Conversational Discourse in a Virtual Reality Task”. (Advisor: L. Naigles)

August 2021: Welcome Kaya & Kelly, DEV’s newest graduate students
Welcome to Kelly Mahaffy and Kaya LeGrand, the newest graduate student members of the DEV program! Kaya is coming to us from Emerson College and will be joining the UConn Child Language Lab (PI: Dr. Letitia Naigles). Kelly recently received a master’s from UConn’s English Department, and will be joining the Landi Lab (PI: Dr. Nicole Landi).
